EASY-CATCH ACCESSORIES If you would like to have a set of hinges to allow your garden gate to open in both directions, we sell them as a pack of two hinges complete with screws etc necessary for attaching them to the gate. They are designed for wooden gates and are available for £9.99 plus VAT plus p&p. A child-proof locking mechanism will be available shortly - please call us to register your interest and we will send you one when available.
EQUI-CATCH ACCESSORIES Fitting the Equi-Catch is easy, particularly with stainless steel coach screws/bolts. Four are needed per catch and can be used for wooden gate posts or brick walls. A pack of 4 stainless steel screws are available for £2.40 plus VAT plus p&p.
It is possible to fit the Equi-Catch to an existing gate that only opens one way, although you obviously lose the advantage of the gate being able to open both ways, but still benefit from the ease of opening and secure shutting mechanism. The conversion kit is available at £3.50 plus VAT plus p&p. If you want to fit the Equi-Catch lower down on a gate post to make it easy for disabled access, but also want horseriders to be able to open the gate without having to get off their horses, then you can fit a 'lifting handle' which attaches to the lift bar at the top of the catch and extends above the top of the gate itself so that riders can lift this handle while disabled users can lift the bar attached to the catch. These lifting handles are available at £8.50 plus VAT plus p&p. If you want to be absolutely sure that there is no way that anyone can leave the gate open, for example you have livestock in a field which has a footpath running through it, you can fit self-closing hinges to the gate itself. This ensures that the gate will always close itself once someone has pushed it open, and the Equi-Catch will always keep the gate securely closed. Short self-closing hinges are available at £69.99 plus VAT plus p&p.

It's sad how much pleasure I can get out of a gate catch. If I've got my hands full, I flick the catch open with my shoe and kick the gate shut behind me confident that it's shut properly and the dogs aren't going to get out on to the road. It's so much easier than having to put things down to open the gate and then pick it all up to put it all down again to shut the gate during which time my dogs are trying to steal my shopping!
